CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
2007 was Mikes third season with AVB. Mike Dukovich is a recent graduate of Harvard University where he played for four years under head coach Joe Walsh. At Harvard, Mike pitched primarily out of the bullpen as a set-up reliever and a lefty specialist. Upon returning to his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, Mike once again joined Allegheny Valley for his second season as a member of the starting rotation. The role of a starter has allowed Mike to become more comfortable, and in turn more effective on the mound, as he is able to schedule and prepare for each consecutive start. In this past season, Mike has pitched 27.1 innings, recording 44 K’s for a K/9 of nearly 15. In high school, Mike was a two-time captain earning MVP (2002), All Section (2001,2002), and All-State (2001). Mike was also awarded the Pennsylvania State Games Player of the Year in 2001. In 2007 as a graduate student of Duquesne University. Mike also led the Dukes in ERA.
